What if King Lear were a woman? After it’s 2014 bold new production, QUEEN LEAR returned to London playing The Tristan Bates Theatre. The production was directed by award-winning director Phil Willmott who joined regular collaborator actress Ursula Mohan, reprising her role as Queen Lear.
Phil Willmott's vibrant new production of Shakespeare's masterpiece, KING LEAR, puts a mother at the heart of the action supposing that it is a queen who, weary of public office, divides the kingdom amongst her daughters.
The cast also included Elizabeth Appleby, (Regan),Mark Garfield (Albany), Rosmund Hine (Goneral), Nick Howden-Steenstra (King Of France), Ben Kerfoot (Edmund), Hannah Kerin (Cordelia), Christopher Laishley (Oswald) , Nicholas Limm (Edgar), Jonathon Reid (Cornwall), Ashley Russell (Gloucester) and Dan Slade (The Fool)
